Tropicano JNL is a display screen typeface released by Jeff Levine Fonts.

Before 1959, in pre-Castro Havana, Cuba, the preeminent club was the Tropicana.

During the regime of Fulgencio Batista, Cuba was resplendent with bars and betting casinos dealing with [primarily] the North Amrican travelers; which brought it the title of "the Monte Carlo of the Americas".

.

Although Cuba (and the world as a whole) has actually changed vastly over the years, the hand-lettered logo design of the Tropicana Night Club has survived, and has actually been replicated as a total digital typeface called Tropicano JNL (a slight twist to the club's name).

.

At first the typeface seems to be awkward, unrefined and amateurish, however in taking a review, there's a spirited appeal to it. Additionally, this font can function as a "creepy" typeface for the Halloween season, beast celebrations and in other comparable themes.
