TT Alientz is a variable * typeface that allows the user to make a visual journey from a laconic extraterrestrial monstrous to a very prickly display serif. As part of this project, we decided to investigate the impact of a foreign compound and the following transformation of the initial forms, which ultimately results in severe visual changes.

The TT Alientz household consists of 3 font styles: monstrous, serif and variable * typeface. Each typeface contains more than 470 glyphs. In addition to broad language support (including Cyrillic), the typeface has elegant ligatures, contextual alternates, and old-style figures. Variability in the typeface affects the changes in the general style of the font-- moving the slider to adjust the variable axis, you can go from a laconic grotesque to a severe serif.

TT Alientz Grotesque is a fairly neat hipster grotesque, however with its own little features. In the style of some letters of the grotesque you can find little sharp components that include uniqueness and character to the typeface when used in big inscriptions and headings. At the same time, when you use the font in a small size of the size and in text blocks, sharp components do not significantly impact its readability. The design of some letters of the monstrous is quite strange and is planned to stress the preliminary concept of slight ‘‘ alienness'.

TT Alientz Serif is an ‘‘ infected' TT Alientz Grotesque and the result of changes to it. Unlike the monstrous, the serif is vibrant, thick, ductile and extremely prickly. Serif has a great deal of smooth lines and not rather standard strokes contrast. It can be kept in mind that many serifs in the antiqua are pointed inward, not external. Despite its extremeness, the serif will look good both in big and in little body sizes.
