TT In reverse is a speculative font style project influenced by the USSR typography and typefaces of the late 70s and early 80s. Shop indications, posters, and book style-- this is where we drew the motivation for our task from. TT In reverse consists of two complimentary font subfamilies, a Script and a Grotesque, each of them consists of 5 typefaces in 5 different weights (Thin, Light, Routine, Vibrant, Black).
.TT In Reverse Script is a non-contrast practically monolinear strong script influenced by shop signs, poster and book design of the USSR. TT Backwards Script includes a big number of Latin and Cyrillic ligatures (more than 70 products), which allows to make the script flexible and sophisticated to the max. And thanks to the application of a huge variety of context alternates, all lowercase letters are joined gently and without breaks, and they satisfy the uppercase letters wonderfully and properly. TT Backwards Script supports the following OpenType features: liga, case, ordn, frac, sups, sinf, numr, dnom, tnum, onum, pnum.
.TT Backwards Sans is a narrow monstrous which takes us back to the book design of late 70s and early 80s with its ductile characters. It is created considering its usage in the small text size. TT In Reverse Sans has a number of noticable peculiarities: high x-height, overstated extenders, and big visual compensators and ink traps. Apart from the fundamental visual solution, TT Backwards Sans includes 2 speculative stylistic sets, which noticeably change the general visual perception of the text. SS01 modifies high-frequency symbols of the Cyrillic alphabet, and SS02 significantly changes the high-frequency symbols of the Latin alphabet. The following OT features are carried out in TT Backwards Sans: case, ordn, frac, sups, sinf, numr, dnom, tnum, pnum, liga, no, salt, ss01, ss02.
