Tweed SG was designed by Jim Spiece and released by Spiece Graphics. Tweed SG contains 1 style. p > Tweed is a journey into the 1930s world of hand-lettering.

The style looks very much like the individual scribblings of an old-fashioned animation animator. It's the sort of sketch-style you may find describing a wacky caterpillar or laughing willyworm.

Tweed is enjoyable and light-hearted with open and rounded letters of a somewhat musical quality. Stemmed from old letterforms promoted by Carl Holmes in his wonderful book on the topic, Tweed is essentially friendly in nature.

This typeface is excellent for personal greeting cards and stationery - any type of casual correspondence. It works well in screen scenarios, too. And yes, there is an alternate to the funny-looking "w" character. Just press alternative l (el) on Mac. Or Alt 0172 on Windows.

Tweed is now offered in the OpenType Std format. Some brand-new stylistic alternates have actually been contributed to this OpenType variation. Advanced features work in current variations of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. Look for OpenType advanced feature assistance in other applications as it gradually appears with upgrades.
