Publisher: DSTypeUser is a monospaced type household with 30 designs, from Hairline to Vibrant, divided in Routine, Upright and Stencil, with 5 weights (Hairline, ExtraLight, Light, Medium and Strong) all with Cameo variations. Complexity and versatility are the keywords for this type household. Regardless of being a monospaced typeface, which suggests there's no kerning, all the glyphs were created in order to sit easily in the 600 points width, a difficult task because some glyphs are too narrow (' i' and 'l'), while others are too large ('m' and 'w'), however they must fit the same width. The desire for keeping a comfortable readability in User was one of the crucial aspects, for that reason we developed several ligatures that fit both single and double area width, allowing to preserve a certain concept of proportional style. In this digital brochure you will find a comprehensive vision of the anatomy of the typefaces, the amount of characters available, the styles and weights, together with a series of features, specifically created to make User a really flexible and usable type system.
