Vanitas is a stylish high contrast modern sans. It is rooted in the design of a traditional didone, leaving out the typical serifs and ball terminals along with being designed with a cleaner, more reductionist look. Strict attention was offered to the cohesiveness and balance in between letterforms as well as the mindful improvement of all curves.
Stylistically, Vanitas' attractive, advanced sensibility is straight influenced by haute couture. The upright designs are matched by a pairing of optically adjusted true italics, which were actively adapted to maintain the sharpness of their counterparts. Abandoning generally executed cursive italic letterforms keeps Vanitas' sharp characteristic through each style.
