Developed by Donald Tarallo, Varese is a screen sans font released by Tarallo Design.

Varese is a geometric and modular typeface inspired by early 1900s Art Deco posters. Its heavy weight is outstanding for display screen or big body text. The lowercase is similar to the uppercase, yet a number of the lowercase letters have interior areas and several have some variations on the type (see H/h, E/e, F/f, I/i, J/j, L/l, N/n, T/t). The lowercase likewise has 2 alternate glyph sets that are half size and line up with cap height. Among the alternate glyph sets has a highlight and the other set does not.

A few of the highlighted alternate glyphs may overlap with a full size letter (complete size letters like K and V contain the most overlaps), though this is rare.
