It has a familiar energy, like that of a shopping list rapidly wrote down, but in spite of this vigor, the design of Verveine is thought about and fulfills extensive standards. Verveine is meant to be used at larger sizes-- as a title in a book, or in packaging. It is most effective in brief bursts-- a few words, a tag line-- to allow Verveine to support the message with its own expression.

Subtle stroke modulation and rounded terminals hint at composing with a felt pen; the strong weight suggests a reasonable amount of pressure applied, again indicating a brisk writing design. This is more stressed by the condensed look and small backwards slant, but to guarantee that the dexterity does not come down into turmoil, the design of every character has been securely and meticulously controlled.

Verveine includes alternate styles for numerous characters, accessible by means of OpenType functions in suitable applications, and the Business Edition includes Greek and Cyrillic to help with worldwide usage. A Standard Edition is also available.
