Wagner Script Pro is a script typeface published by Canada Type.

This gem of a script was what metal era typographers called a "continental face", which essentially implied an old, more than likely uncredited, metal face that was common to lots of European foundries. This particular one ran the rounds in the very first half of the twentieth century under the names Donatello, Aigrette, Troubadour, Hertha, and Gracia. A little research reveals its true origin to be circa 1926 at the Wagner & & Schmidt foundry in Leipzig, where it was a bold script called Troubadour. A cut that was much lighter, more elegant, and a lot more ideal for larger screen applications was made by the Amsterdam Lettergieterij in the late 1930s, under the name Gracia. Gracia was a typical sight on perfume bottles, red wine labels, chocolate boxes, and book covers in Europe for about 4 decades. Like many treasures of its kind, it seems to have actually never been thought about for digital retooling up until now.

Wagner Script corrects and considerably broadens on the original metal concept, to consist of lots of alternate kinds, even as many as 4 variations on some characters. It also includes prolonged range Latin-based language assistance. The Wagner Script plan contains both Wagner Script Pro, a premium feature-loaded OpenType font for advanced typography applications, along with 3 TTF fonts for the legacy format user.
