Waite Park JNL is based on the smallest of the die-cut letters and numbers contained in the Webway Indication Cabinet - when made by the Holes-Webway Business of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The largest of the setâEUR ™ s sizes (2 inch) was the design for [LINK:/ fonts/jnlevine/sign-kit/] Indication Kit JNL, the medium size (1-1/8 inch) was utilized to make [LINK:/ fonts/jnlevine/sign-production/] Indication Production JNL and this font style is a version from the 3/4 inch size.
Each size of alphabet and numerals have their own special attributes, although they all follow the exact same fundamental font design, which is similar to traditional Art Deco-era sanserif typefaces.
The name Waite Park JNL was stemmed from a division of Holes-Webway that (for some reason lost to time) dispersed their indication packages under the name Waite Park Indication Company, located in the Minnesota city of the very same name.
