The stone was an Epitaph of the Brenkener family, and the carver is known as the "Meister des Brenkener Familienepitaphs".

The carving, dating to 1562, presently is curated by the Erzbischöfliches Diözesanmuseum in the city of Paderborn and was initially in the Brenkener Pfarr Kirche.
