The Xavier family of typefaces is based on the delightful deco typeface called Ashley Crawford, initially created in 1930 by Ashley Havinden. After developing Xavier Black (Serif) and Xavier Sans Black, I added Bold Sans, Medium and Medium Sans and lastly added lowercase to the medium weights. Although more workable than Ashley Crawford, Xavier, due to its really playful nature (splayed A, M, etc.) requires to be utilized with care, specifically in terms of spacing. Xavier is a lively typeface and I have been especially pleased to see it utilized in children's books.
