Zamenhof is a display screen sans font household. This typeface has five styles and was released by CastleType.

Zamenhof is a family of 5 font styles that can be used singly or in combination to produce a variety of vibrant, yet classy, display designs. Influenced by Russian hand-lettering that appears to have been based upon Jakob Erbar's Phosphor, Zamenhof is essentially a Latin analysis (with Cyrillic and Greek) of a Cyrillic analysis of a Latin type style, with lots of changes along the method. (For instance, all the Latin-only letters are rather various in between the 2 styles: D, F, G, J, K, N, Q, R, S, U, V, W, Y, Z.)

.

The Inline and Inverted styles of Zamenhof are the basic fonts and can be used efficiently on their own. The Plain and Outline typefaces-- which I recommend utilizing just in mix with the main styles-- were created specifically to be integrated with Inline and Inverse, as underlay and overlay layers, respectively. (You will require an application that supports layers, such as Adobe InDesign or Photoshop.)

.

Zamenhof supports most European languages in addition to contemporary Greek, and naturally, Russian and other languages that utilize the Cyrillic alphabet. Needless to say, as Zamenhof is called after the father of Esperanto, it also supports Esperanto (as do all typefaces from CastleType).
