Aeronaut was created by Georg Herold-Wildfellner and released by FaceType. Aeronaut consists of 5 designs and family bundle alternatives. p > A Neogothic typeface that radiates stylish ease and allows bicolor compositions.

The ornamental aspects of Aeronaut, the swashes we call parachutes and the squiggly arrows of the upper-case characters soften the font's Gothic appearance. It's the reason why we labeled it a "Neogothic typeface that radiates fashionable ease." Make it as contemporary as you like it to be.

·

Aeronaut-Base combined with Aeronaut-Parachute allows bicolor compositions. Simply position them on top of each other to produce spirited, two-colored headlines. Aeronaut-Balloon is comparable to Aeronaut-Parachute however uses even longer swashes. AeronautPlain resembles Aeronaut-Base however works as a total typeface by itself( as it includes all punctuation). We deserted the swashes of the upper-case characters to keep the font style pure and straight.

·

The glyphs of Aeronaut are originated from Textualis also known as Textura or Gothic Bookhand. Textualis represented the most calligraphic kind of blackletter types and is today considered as quintessentially Gothic. Aeronaut has been motivated by Kirchengotische Schrift, a font style that can be discovered in a German typeface book from 1879 entitled Vorlegeblätter für Firmenschreiber. As its name suggests, it was designed for religious publications.
