ALS FinlandiaScript contains 3 designs and household bundle alternatives. p > Some 40 km north of Helsinki, surrounded by meadows and a tranquil Finnish lake, lies Ainola, the previous home and now museum of author Jean Sibelius (1865-- 1957). I know the location quite well, considering that it is only a stone's discard from the art school where I began my graphic style research studies. We often went there after classes-a beautiful walk, specifically in spring, when the days were getting longer, the snow melting in the sun and the ice cracking on the lake.

The composer often professed his love for this landscape and found consistent inspiration in its state of minds, sounds and fragrances throughout different seasons. For numerous people, Sibelius and his music, most especially his popular symphonic poem Finlandia, are a sign of Finland.

I chose to call the typeface household I'm presenting here FinlandiaScript, due to the fact that it owes its influence to both Sibelius' manuscripts and the Finnish landscape around Ainola. The shape of letters, their poise and the rhythm they create resemble Sibelius' handwriting without copying it. The letters form carefully streaming lines of text which is readable without offering up individuality.

The font household can be found in 3 designs: FinlandiaScript, FinlandiaScript Bold and FinlandiaScript Frost. Together they are perfect for magazines, sites and brand names intending to develop a personal and genuine image. While the great details of FinlandiaScript Frost are best appropriate for screen sizes, FinlandiaScript and FinlandiaScript Bold work well in both headlines and texts of smaller sizes. Numerous ligatures provide a specifically flexible appearance.
