Armature Neue was developed by Bob Aufuldish and released by fontBoy. Armature Neue includes 12 styles and household plan alternatives. p > Armature Neue is an extension and clarification of the initial Armature family launched in 1997. We made the circulation of weights more even, and included italics additional light and black weights. Originally consisting of 4 fonts, Armature Neue has twelve: 6 weights with accompanying italics. Although conceived as a screen face, a variety of alternate characters are consisted of that can be utilized to regularize the type for text setting.

Armature is one result of my interest in typefaces that are built, rather than drawn. Although it is generally a monoline style, there are subtle information throughout that make up for a monoline's evenness.

As with all fontBoy font styles, there are dingbats hidden away in the dark recesses of the keyboard. When I first started designing this face in 1992, I called it Dino-I believed I would name all my typefaces after well-known pets-so the dingbats for Armature are dinosaurs.
