FF Sizmo was developed by Verena Gerlach and released by FontFont. FF Sizmo consists of 15 styles and family plan options. p > FF Sizmo is available in two flavors. One is a sincere, industrial strength, somewhat condensed, sans serif family. The other builds on the first, and is a display screen design with horizontally linking baseline strokes. The five weights of standard the FF Sizmo typefaces are ideal for print and digital tasks. Character spacing is generous, counters are open and apertures are wide and clear. Banners, navigational links, sub heads, and short blocks of contextual copy are natural on-screen usages for the style. Print tasks from branding to way-finding likewise fall easily into FF Sizmo's variety of applications.

The "line" variations of FF Sizmo can be arresting stand-alone typefaces-- or distinct matches to the standard roman and italic styles. In either instance, the line designs make effective statements in headings, subheads, posters and cover art. OpenType ® typefaces instantly insert start, middle or ending line component characters into the copy.

Drawn by Verena Gerlach, both styles were influenced by the exact same source, an industrial signage system that enabled quick and simple copy changes. "The idea for the typeface," discusses Gerlach, "is a real estate complex index board, on which movable white plastic capital letters were fixed by a thick line to the wood board. This line is a vital part of the font style's appearance."
