The "line" variations of FF Sizmo can be arresting stand-alone typefaces-- or distinct matches to the standard roman and italic styles. In either instance, the line designs make effective statements in headings, subheads, posters and cover art. OpenType ® typefaces instantly insert start, middle or ending line component characters into the copy.
Drawn by Verena Gerlach, both styles were influenced by the exact same source, an industrial signage system that enabled quick and simple copy changes. "The idea for the typeface," discusses Gerlach, "is a real estate complex index board, on which movable white plastic capital letters were fixed by a thick line to the wood board. This line is a vital part of the font style's appearance."
