Filmotype Glenlake was created by Mark Simonson and released by Filmotype. Having vanished from graphic style history, Filmotype Glenlake reappeared in 1994's "Ed Wood" with a starring role in the opening credits. The font style nevertheless was initially named after a lake north of Chicago near the home of Filmotype's creators Al and Bea Friedman.
