Designed by Brian Willson, Geographica Script is a historic and script font style published by 3 Islands Press.

Time-tested beauty is what you'll get with Geographica Script, a handwritten typeface steeped in 18th century sophistication. Source products consist of the maps of Emanuel Bowen (circa 1694-- 1767), Geographer to King George II, along with English and American trade cards from the middle 1700s, consisting of the work of artist and printmaker William Hogarth (1697-- 1764). A kindred typeface to our Geographica serif family, Geographica Script is a painstaking duplication of the elegant roundhand cursive seen in engravings of the period.

The OpenType release of Geographica Script features ratings of contextual ligatures, three full uppercase alphabets, historic types, ornamental flourishes, and complete Latin support. It's also got fifty evocative accessories motivated by map and trade card illustrations, e.g., lion widespread, unicorn widespread, crowns, anchors, cruising ships, whale, dolphin, sun, moon, and lots of others.
