This specific approach to brush script utilizes a pointed brush. Although Nesbitt thought about the pointed brush corruptive and not matched to present day western letter kinds, he presented that with adequate control of the brush (keeping it upright, preserving stroke evenness, etc) even an unexperienced letterer can easily draw existing day letters, though the result will always reveal qualities of the letterer
