The Republic Gothic series was among the last initial wood type styles manufactured by Hamilton Production Co. It was very first displayed in Hamilton's New Gothic Faces in Wood Type (c. 1920). The style includes a sans-serif style reminiscent of brush-formed letters popular with sign painters of the era.
Originally issued in 6 various widths and in both summary and solid variations, this digital release features the "Prolonged" width referred to as Hamilton Republic Gothic series 775 & & 776. The set of overview and solid is created as ‘‘ chromatics' that can be printed one over the other to accomplish several color effects or individually as stylistic alternatives. This release includes the very first ever digitization of Republic Gothic. The 2 font styles are thoroughly lined up and kerned to enable multicolor overlayment in any digital style program.
