Instantaneous includes 5 styles and household bundle options. p > Instant is a type family going from thin, casual, quick handwritten letters to steady, black typographic shapes. Each of the five styles correspond to a specific stroke speed and weight: Vivid, Quick, Routine, Slow, Heavy. Begun as research job in 2005 at National Institute for Typographic Research, France, hommage to the poet, painter and author Henri Michaux (1899-- 1984), it concerns type family consistency and the relation and use of roman, italic and vibrant faces.

The font styles contain an extended latin glyph set covering lots of languages, advanced OpenType functions, little capitals, several figure varieties (lining, old design, tabular and proportional), ponctuation for capitals, rotates & & ligatures.

Instant was established with Matthieu Cortat, Nonpareille, Lyon, and launched by BAT Foundry, Paris in 2012. It was picked favorite typefaces by Typographica in 2012 and finest ten fonts the same year by Fontwerk.
