Created by Jeffery Keedy, Keedy Sans is a display screen sans font family. This typeface has 2 designs and was released by Emigre.

Like numerous graphic designers of the late 1980s and early 1990s, Keedy aspired to accept the computer system as a tool, but was irritated by the restricted choice of digital typefaces readily available. Keedy Sans, produced in response, was used in designs for Emigre magazine and embraced by designers everywhere.

Keedy Sans is comparable in significance to another essential Emigre font, P. Scott Makela's Dead History, created to commemorate its speculative nature with letter kinds that are deliberately unfinished and incongruous. "The majority of typefaces are logically organized; if you see a few letters you can basically guess what the rest of the typeface will appear like. I desired a typeface that would willfully contradict those expectations," Keedy has said.

In 2011 Keedy Sans was among 23 digital typefaces consisted of in the irreversible architecture and design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
