Kiro is a very little, easy condensed sans-serif household developed by Ryoichi Tsunekawa. The whole household includes 12 designs: 6 weights from Thin to ExtraBold and their matching Italics. The variety of styles supplies flexibility for title, headline and body text. The large x-height gives them legibility and readability.
The standard skeleton was developed semi-modularly and the letterform was minimalized by getting rid of the unneeded stems. The corners were finished with a subtle rounded effect.
The minimalized semi-modular style provides this household contemporary urbane taste and rounded corners make this household warm and friendly.
Kiro supports practically all European languages: Western, Central, South Eastern Europeans and Afrikaans. Superior figures, inferior figures, denominators, numerators and portion can be accessed by using OpenType features.
