Glamour was initially launched by Lanston Monotype in 1948. It is based on Corvinus created by Imre Reiner. P22 designer Colin Kahn has included some unusual variants to this family showing that Glamour can be taken too far and have somewhat unglamorous outcomes. The font styles can be combined in uncommon ways for typographically eccentric outcomes. Given that the serifs in Glamour are all hairline width, even in the strong, it made sense to make a hairline typeface with the details the width of the serif.
