Created by Jonathan Hill, Scharf is a serif font family. This typeface has sixteen designs and was released by The Northern Block.

A sturdy serif created as a companion to the Schar font family. Utilizing Schar as a design template, precise serif information are carefully drawn into each character, enhancing readability and more improving the font styles fluid and dynamic character. Scharf, utilized in conjunction with the sans serif becomes an extensive type system, intentionally matched for editorial design and complex typographic hierarchy. Details consist of eight weights with matching true italics, over 950 characters per typeface with alternative lowercase a, e, g and y, 8 variations of characters, true little caps with accents, discretionary ligatures and language assistance covering Western, South and Central European and Vietnamese.
