Trabis is the new typeface by Axel Pelletanche-Thévenart, designer of Knif Mono. It has been baptized with a Latin name that describes a strong piece of wood used for structural purposes.
Its blurred serifs offer to Trabis an oldstyle typewriter flavour, although the structures of its glyphs are rooted into our 2019 digital world.
As all its "A is for" type foundry's fellows, Trabis has actually been improved so that it works perfectly for continuous reading, but its soul reveals the best when used as screen, showing its high lowercase "r" and a few of its big-headed capitals.
