User was designed by Pedro Leal and released by DSType. User includes 10 designs and household package alternatives. p > User is a monospaced type family with 30 designs, from Hairline to Strong, divided in Routine, Upright and Stencil, with five weights (Hairline, ExtraLight, Light, Medium and Strong) all with Cameo variations. Intricacy and adaptability are the keywords for this type household. Despite being a monospaced typeface, which indicates there's no kerning, all the glyphs were developed in order to sit conveniently in the 600 points width, a tough task because some glyphs are too narrow (' i' and 'l'), while others are too wide ('m' and 'w'), but they should fit the same width. The desire for keeping a comfy readability in User was one of the crucial aspects, for that reason we developed a number of ligatures that fit both single and double area width, allowing to preserve a particular concept of proportional style.
